“From Vietnam side, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology is a co-organizer of Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency Forum – APRSAF 27 ”
President of Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) informed the above information at APRSAF 26 which was held in from 26-29/11/2019 in Nagoya, Japan.
APRSAF 26 was co-organized by Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science and Technology (MEXT) and JAXA. Dr. Pham Anh Tuan, Director General of Vietnam Naitonal Space Center (VNSC), Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) participated this event.

APRSAF 26 was held under the theme of “Advancing Diverse Links Toward a New Space Era” to assess the effectiveness of space activities in the Asia-Pacific region over the past 25 years.

With its 4 Working Groups: Space Technology Working Group; Space Application Working Group; Space Environment Utilization Working Group and Space Education Working Group, APRSAF 26 has drawn the active participants of space agencies, private companies, universities and research institutes…to share information about the future activities and plans of each country in each respective field.
At APRSAF 26, Dr. Pham Anh Tuan joined Space Technology Working Group as Co-chair , the panel discussion for “Innovative Partnerships for Sustainable Society” as a panelist and delivered a comprehensive report on Microdragon satellite which was developed by young engineers of Vietnam National Space Center and successfully launched on 18/1/2019. At the Plenary, Dr. Pham Anh Tuan presented the strategy on the development of space industry of Vietnam.

Also at the APRSAF 26, Mr. Lam Dao Nguyen – Director of Ho Chi Minh City Space Technology Application Center (STAC) – Vietnam National Space Center took part in and delivered a report at Space Applications For Environment – SAFE Workshop – one of the important activities of APRSAF.
