The Framework Agreement Signing Ceremony on Space Science and Technology Cooperation for the use of outer space for peaceful purposes between the Vietnam National Satellite Center (VNSC), Vietnam Academy of Science And Technology (VAST) and the Israel Space Agency (ISA), Israel’s Ministry of Science, Technology and Space was held on June 21st 2017 in Hanoi.
Under the agreement, the two parties will focus on promoting cooperation in specific contents such as Earth observation, including Earth Science and monitoring; promoting cooperation between the aerospace industries, satellite operations, etc.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mrs. Meirav Eilon Shahar stated: “Israel-Vietnam cooperation in science and technology is developing. The Framework Agreement is just the beginning. From now on, VNSC and ISA need further exchanges to find out the priorities of each party and which areas of cooperation are most relevant. This agreement is significant in tightening the relationship between Vietnam and Israel.”
It is known that Vietnam and Israel have signed many framework agreements in different areas, however, agreement in the field of space science and technology is very important because Israel has long-time experiences in space researching. With this agreement, Israel can support Vietnam in training, the two countries can also exchange research delegations as well as participate in several mutual projects.
