On May 14, Ambassador Yamada Takio had a meeting with the President of Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology – Prof. Acad. Chau Van Minh. Both sides confirmed that they will continue to promote cooperation in science and technology between the two countries, especially for the “Project for Disaster and Climate change countermeasures using Earth Observation Satellite”. The project is being implemented and expected to launch a satellite in 2023 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Vietnam – Japan diplomatic relations. The two sides also agreed to consider the possibility of deeper cooperation in the field of space technology.
