Functions and Tasks

– Fundamental research, develop methods, solutions, tools, models, algorithms, and software for analyzing and processing remote sensing data.

– Application of remote sensing technologies, GIS and GPS for socio-economic development, national defence and security.

– Effective management, utilization, and efficient use of assets and equipments.

– Providing scientific and technological services in the field of remote sensing technology, GIS&GPS and other related fields.

– International cooperation and training in the field of remote sensing technology, GIS&GPS and other related fields.

– Performing other tasks and powers assigned by the Directorate of VNSC.
